Plan the week's dinners once, on Sunday
weekprep turns a week of family meals into a shopping list and a short list of prep jobs. Pick the meals, and the list is added up and sorted by aisle, the chopping is gathered into one session, and the leftovers have somewhere to go.
No account needed to start. It works on this device straight away.
Why dinner turns into takeaway
It is six o'clock, everyone is hungry, and nobody decided what is for dinner. There is half an onion in the fridge and no time to shop. So it is takeaway again.
Cooking was never the hard part. Deciding was — every day, at the worst moment, with whatever happened to be in the house.
weekprep moves the deciding to one calm half-hour a week, and does the arithmetic that comes after it: what to buy, what to prepare ahead, what to do with what is left.
What it does
A weekly meal grid
Seven days, with lunch and dinner (and breakfast, if you want it). Put a recipe in a slot, or just a name — "Pizza Friday", "Dinner at Gran's". Copy last week when it worked.
A recipe library
The meals your family already eats, typed once: ingredients, what can be done ahead, the method, your notes. Starter recipes to begin with, and a photo of the dish if you like.
A shopping list that adds itself up
Every planned recipe's ingredients, scaled to how many you are cooking for, added together — two onions here and one there is three onions — and sorted by aisle. Tick it off in the shop.
Batch prep steps
All the chopping for the week in one list, and the make-ahead steps from each recipe with how long they take. An hour on Sunday and the weeknights are mostly assembly.
A leftovers planner
Cook extra portions on purpose and say where they go — Tuesday's lunch, Wednesday's dinner. It buys for the extra, buys nothing for the leftover meal, and warns when a plan runs past how long the dish keeps.

How it works
- Add the recipes your family already eats, or start from the starter recipes.
- Fill the week: a recipe or a name in each dinner slot. Add extra portions where leftovers make sense.
- Take the shopping list to the shop. Everything is there, in aisle order.
- Do the batch prep in one go, and on weeknights just cook.

Questions
Does it tell us what to eat?
No. It plans the meals you choose, from the recipes you add. The starter recipes are ordinary weeknight cooking to get going with, and every one can be changed or deleted.
Can the whole family use the same plan?
Yes, by signing in to the same account on each phone. Changes show up on the other devices within seconds, so whoever is in the shop sees the list as it is now.
What happens to what I typed before I made an account?
When you sign up or sign in on that device, weekprep says how many recipes and meals it found and adds them to your account. If the account already had some, both are kept.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything is kept on the device first, so the list opens in a shop with no signal. Changes sync when the connection comes back.
